Butterfly couple and a third party
These very small butterflies, unfortunately I do not know their scientific name, are the size of 5 cent coins or the size of a fingernail. They're on the flower stalk and are so eneamoured with each other that they did not move a beat, even when I changed positions just 4 feet away from them. But apparently there appears to be a third party in the background, although he is of a very different species. Or maybe its a bodyguard with a sting...

This Cannonball Tree is located in the Esplanade Park, very near the Cenotaph Memorial. I was drawn by the large beautiful flowers and its very interesting name. And its scent is very fragrant and pleasant too.
I took this using the Minolta 75-300 f4.5-5.6 (D) lens and I'm quite happy with my new purchase. Hope I will be able to fully bring out its potential and that it'll serve me well for a long time.
Too bad I forgot to take a picture of the fruit, cos I believe thats where the tree got its name from, and I also did not get a full picture of the whole tree as I was too engrossed with the flower. Guess I will have to go back again cos the tree is really unique.
If you are viewing the pictures, hope you could leave a comment on which picture of the single flower you like better. Before or after colour levels adjustment? I would really appreciate it if you could leave a comment, so that I could improve my post-processing skills. Thanks in advance.

Captured this pic happening on top of a friend's car. My first ever fly macro so do excuse the poor focus.

Spiral Stairway
I rarely see this spiral staircases around anymore. I found this industrial looking one tucked away in the back alleys of a shopping mall. I admire the shape, and its simpleness in design. But walking down or walking up a long spiral staircase can be quite disconcerting after a while, cos it just goes round and round and you get the feeling that it is never ending.

Hustle and Bustle and a blind Busker in the City

Blind Busker
The blind busker had been performing in the Orchard Road MRT tunnel for numerous years. He has a nice repertoire where he plays several instruments like the harmonica and keyboard, and he'll sing evergreen songs to the train commuters and shoppers who ply through that tunnel. Last time there'd be a rival, but since licensing for busking came about several years ago, he has not had any competition. I think he is the only one who has got a license to busk in that tunnel. He has a companion too, cos he had had his takings stolen before. It became national news and I think the guy was not caught. The companion was not there when I passed through. Its been years since I passed through there cos I don't frequent Orchard Road and stopped taking trains after I got a bike, so I took the opportunity to catch him in action when i was there several days ago.
